Mike had promised he would stay awake and on the ball in case Blaine woke up before he was supposed to and needed anything. It was tough, though, because Mike mostly work late nights, so when the daytime hours came, his eyes struggled to stay open. He had managed to stay awake the twenty-four hours that Blaine was kept sedated by Dr C, but considering it had been another twelve hours on top of that since Mike last slept, he was waning now. He made the mistake of sitting down on the sofa with a coffee, but the coffee ended up untouched and Mike dropped off when his eyes drooped closed and he couldn't fight it any longer.

He had probably been like that all of five minutes when he heard Puck calling out for him and he woke up so quick and with a start, he tripped over the coffee table in his haste. He bolted into the room, expecting some sort of disaster, and was met with the sight of Blaine awake (well, mostly, he still looked groggy), half sitting up and trying to grab at Puck's shirt. "Whoa, someone decided to come back to the party," he noted, though he kept his voice calm so he didn't freak Blaine out. But Blaine was apparently bordering on that all on his own, and that was when Mike noticed Blaine was actually near tears and he was trying to get Puck's attention again.

"Kurt," Mike guessed with a nod, biting on his lower lip. He hoped they might be able to reason with Blaine a little first, but obviously nothing was going to work until Blaine saw Kurt in the flesh.
