Blaine jumped in fright at Mike sudden appearance. He felt like he was hungover, but the memories of his wedding and what happened after that were coming thick and fast in his head. He glanced frantically between Mike and Puck, and then back again. "Why are you keeping him from me?" he begged before he promptly burst into tears and put his hand up over his face. There was a weak sob and he did try to move again, but he was too weak. He slumped to the side against the pillow, crying brokenly again. "He's dead. He's dead, I know! That's why you won't let me see him! My Kurt! He's gone!"

His voice broke on the last word, and even though his hand and wrist were painful and swollen, his hand curled around the edge of the pillow like he was desperately trying to reach for Kurt but he wasn't there. Something inside him was telling him Kurt was dead. Carole said it, and there was so much blood. Kurt wouldn't open his eyes, and he was unmoving in Blaine's arms. It hit him all over again and another desperately pained and broken sob escaped from him as he lay there crying his eyes out, when the heartache of it all delayed by coming to the island he was still mostly unaware of started to set in.
